The three card tarot spread
Card 1. A past experience might be the reason you’re asking this question.
The past seems to erupt into your future and holds you back, and sometimes hinders your growth. The past might represent a painful lesson you learned! Did your past experience teach you something about yourself that you needed to change, or did your past experience teach you something about someone else?
Card 2. The present situation and where you’re at right now.
The present might include what is working for you or what is working against you — relating to your situation.
Card 3. The future represents the outcome and the answer to your question.
What if you hate the cards you pulled?
Quiet the chatter in your mind and ask your question. Shuffle the cards and let the cards fall where they fall. If you don’t like the cards that came out, don’t pull new cards because the cards fall the way they fall for a reason. If you change the cards, your reading won’t be accurate.
The very first time I pulled a tarot spread, I asked what was going to happen related to a love interest and I got a nasty card that I didn’t like. So, being a newbie at pulling card spreads, I decided to pull another spread — and this time I got good cards and liked the spread.
However, the first spread that I pulled was accurate — not the second! When you pull cards that you don’t like, they come out for a reason to warn you or give you a message about your situation. You may not see the beauty in these negative cards when you first start reading the Tarot — but later on you’ll be thankful for the message these cards delivered!
What if a card flies out of the deck or a pile of cards drop on the floor?
When a card flies out of the deck
This card comes with a message and the message is to look at the card — examine the card with your intuition — and look at the symbols on the card.
How does this card make you feel? What do the symbols tell you about the card?
When a pile of cards fall on the floor
These cards come with a message and you might feel overwhelmed because there is a pile of cards to look through. However, I don’t look through the pile of cards and get overwhelmed. I look at how the cards flew out. Did the cards fly out face down and all you see is the back of the card?
These face down cards might represent something that is hidden from you that you can’t see. Did the cards fly out face up? These face up cards might represent something that is in your face that you’re ignoring.
