It’s been over three weeks since we’ve been in lockdown, so I thought I’d write a short post on how I’ve been spending my time.
Right now, I’m in the countryside where my parents live in a small village in Yorkshire. Feeling grateful to be in nature right now and to wake up and be able to wander around the garden first thing.
We had a weekend in Edinburgh before this all happened, and then decided not to return back to London for the time being.
Anyway, here’s how I’ve been spending my time.
I’ve gone online course mad
Before all of this, I had started to design my own online course, which is now almost finished. But I’ve also signed up to two other online courses: one on Udemy (affiliate link) called Thai Yoga Massage. I’m just a few lessons in and have already learnt so much. Considering how much I love doing online courses, I’m surprised I’ve never done a Udemy course before.
The second course is called the Science of Wellbeing which was created by a professor from Yale University on Coursea — and it’s completely free. There are quite a few courses on here which are free and delivered by top universities. Definitely worth checking out.
Morning yoga and Wim Hof power breathing
Yoga and the Wim Hof method have been a big part of my daily routine for a long time now and the lockdown hasn’t changed that.
I don’t have a set yoga routine — instead I tailor what I practise to how I’m feeling on the day, which is a really rewarding way of practising yoga. You can also never get bored this way because what you do is perfect for your mood or how you’re feeling.
I keep meaning to create a video on this, but here’s an article I wrote which you might find useful:
How to create a personal yoga practice on and off your yoga mat

Evening runs, cycling, and walks in the countryside
Even though we really are in a really remote place, I’ve been sticking with the one outing a day rule which has either been a run, cycle, or walk in the countryside. I know it’s quiet here anyway, but nature just feels more alive than ever right now. Were the birds always this vocal?
Painting eggs
And finally, here are some of the eggs we painted for my first ever egg hunt, which was just as much for me as it was for my one year old.
