I have had a really reflective personality since childhood. Usually, after each remarkable incident, like winning a prize, having a petty fight with my best friend, or a conflict with my parents, I would spend hours thinking about it, almost overthinking.

One day, after having an intense fight with someone, I was overthinking again. That night, when I fell asleep, I had a dream where I knew I was dreaming, and everything was very realistic. I do not remember the details of the dream anymore, but I do remember going on Google the next day to look up what happened to me.

That’s when I chanced upon the concept of Lucid dreaming. After doing some research, I started making a dream journal. Now, I am much more aware of my dreams, and that is improving my personal and professional life.

What is lucid dreaming?

Let’s dive into lucid dreaming a bit more to help you understand what it truly means!

Lucid dreaming can help you harness your dreams. It can empower the healing forces of your subconscious mind and the spiritual connection is the most captivating aspect of it.

The connection between lucid dreaming and spirituality cannot be ignored. With proper guidance in lucid dreaming, you can get in touch with your spiritual side and become a more centered person.

So, let us know more about both spirituality and lucid dreaming, and how the two are connected.

Lucid dreaming is conscious dreaming which means that you are aware that you are dreaming. It’s a surreal state where a person knows he is dreaming and has control over the ongoing events.

Lucid dreaming is the most powerful technique to connect you to your soul. It gives you insights and opens up opportunities to heal, transform and understand your soul’s real purpose.

Spirituality and Lucid Dreaming

  • Many people around the globe believe that lucid dreaming is strongly connected with spirituality.
  • Tibetan dream yoga was the basic version of lucid dreaming.

Buddhist monks believe that spirituality is the essence of lucid learning. Lucid dreaming has the capability of merging the two worlds. It is a bridge between both parts of your brain that helps you connect to something much greater than your actual life.

Your mind is aware of the actual world. And while dreaming, you are relegated to an imaginary, more creative world. It might even be a gateway to the spiritual world or a road to spiritual awakening.

A Blissful Connection

A dream is a state where you have no control over the events. You do not take decisions, and life is in the auto-mode. Whatever happens, just happens. Similarly, this can happen in your real life where without proper mindfulness, you will live your life on some set parameters.

But lucid dreaming helps you take control, and you can consciously and mindfully control things. Dreams have no limitations and can help people widen their perspectives. It then gives you a better understanding to know the situations and to be more alert and capable in the real world.

You need to understand and explore your dreams to let your soul know its ultimate aim in life. To do that, many people keep a dream journal that records every event of the dream.

The importance of a dream journal in lucid dreaming is undeniable. It helps you retain your dreams as your journal is the first thing you do as you wake up. This helps you understand your dream signs better and attain spiritual bliss.

When in the real world, you may experience spiritual awakenings through various things or situations. Lucid dreaming then provides you with the ability to introspect and retrospect better.

Hence, you can make better decisions in your life rather than leading it in an automated state of mind. You will not only be focused but also calmer and more peaceful with a brilliant mindset.

Advantages of the Connection

Living in the present moment is spirituality. If you are present and conscious, there are numerous advantages where people can get solutions that were not possible otherwise. Dreams have endless opportunities and no consequences. You have the freedom to take your dream to any extent. It helps you:

  • Increase creativity and high-order thinking
  • Better self-understanding
  • Move forward in life and grow
  • Connect to your spiritual nature
  • Have a wider perspective

So, lucid dreaming allows you to have an honest experience of your past interactions and the way it affects your relationships. With spirituality brimming inside you, you can check your actions and behavior towards people and alter the situations. This motivation helps you grow internally and spiritually and better understand everything in life.

Psychological Benefits

Psychologists have been researching for a long that how lucid learning can benefit the human race. There are many psychological and spiritual benefits of lucid dreaming.

  • Helps with (PSTD) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Helps improve anxiety
  • Nightmares
  • Increases mindfulness

As you tend to grasp the techniques, they will eventually help you connect to who you are and what is your ultimate goal in this lifetime.

Conclusion

Lucid dreaming truly binds spirituality with the real world and brings a feeling of connectivity. The number of nervous breakdowns and the frequency of anxiety attacks can also reduce. This eventually helps people become better both personally and professionally.
