I have for what seems like my whole life, been interested in asking various strangers what my future will hold, yet at the same time remaining a massive skeptic (but not cynic) when it comes to anyone who claims to have all the answers to my future.
I’m at my parents house right now and decided to open up an old photo album from 11 years ago to this date (3rd March 2006) when I was on a university art trip to New York. I’d written the following:
“We ring the buzzer. Her last name is Moore and the same man as last time answers. She’s not in after we’ve travelled all this way to see her. However, her assistant tells us to go to 56th Avenue between 6 and 7 opposite Starbucks. We discover the ‘Mysterious’ sign that says ‘Psychic readings $10 by Gina’.”
I’ve since had other encounters with psychics of all sorts — such as a three hour astrology reading in the remote countryside of Kerala, a Tarot reading in Tasmania, and more recently (a few days ago) I emailed the author of the current course I’m doing to ask her if she sees or senses anything (in my auric field??) that would help direct me in the right way.
Am I allowed to love and respect this stuff yet be openly cautious too? My rational self just thinks believing solely in fate is lazy, yet the other part of me is open to believing in everything.
As Gia predicted, I have had lots of careers. And my Indian astrologer said I would have a problem with my right foot. Two years later, I did actually get a sewing machine needle stuck in the sole of my foot without me knowing (My foot is now fine).
Who knows if I accidentally made this happen or it was vague enough to apply to anyone. The point is, I enjoy going to these meetings, and I find my Tarot cards incredibly useful. But, I really do need to relax a bit. Breathe. And feel OK doing stuff without a permission slip from the Universe every time.
Right on cue, my friend sent me the following message a few days ago. She gets messages sent to her phone from the Universe, and it couldn’t have been more appropriate, so I’m sharing it here.
