Christie Sheldon’s Unlimited Abundance course: first impressions

Four days ago, I started Christie Marie Sheldon’s Unlimited Abundance course (affiliate link). Although I’ve barely scratched the surface, this article will be one of numerous I plan to write about my experiences over the next few months.

Why I’m doing this course?

Almost a year ago in April, I finished my 9-5 job in communications and marketing and I now work for myself doing a variety of things from teaching yoga and meditation to portrait modelling and running my website Thought Brick.

Although, I’ve moved closer to what I want to do in life, I’m now making a third of what I made when I was employed by someone. Financially I’m in a much worse position, but this was my choice and I plan to change that.

As a result of doing this course, I’d like to be able to earn as much money or more than I did in a 9-5 job — but this time getting paid to do what I truly love and creating real value for people at the same time.

It’s my belief that our thoughts and imaginations help to shape our reality. Everything we’ve created on this planet after all, started with a thought, which is essentially what the name of my website, Thought Brick means — building your future reality with the thoughts you’re having today.

I know with the right mindset you can change a lot and I’ve done numerous small thought experiments of my own in previous years — many of which have manifested. This, however, will be my biggest ‘thought’ project and I’m excited to see how Christie’s Unlimited Abundance course will unfold.

People after all are going crazy about it — and have been for the last five years or so. It’s basically one of Mindvalley’s best selling courses.

Their customer service team get inundated with messages from people all the time saying how Unlimited Abundance has transformed their lives and how much more money, wealth and love they’ve attracted since doing it. Considering you can get a full refund at any time, yet many people choose not to, made me really curious to try it.

Unlimited Abundance course in a nutshell

Christie Marie Sheldon’s Unlimited Abundance course basically helps you clear your blockages so you can manifest more abundance in all areas of your life from money to love. I’ve decided to focus on manifesting more money, but it will be different from person to person.

My approach to the course

Any new meditation practice, course or program that I try, I approach it with a ‘beginner’s mindset’. This basically means that while I’m doing the course, I won’t let any preconceived ideas or judgements get in the way — at least I’ll try my hardest not to let these things cloud my judgement as a I do the course.

Once I’ve finished I then plan to write a balanced review of my experiences and the course in general.

For now though after just a few days in — here’s how I got on.

Synchronicities and professional intuitives

Prior to starting this course, I kept get synchronicities in my life related to professional intuitives and almost booked myself a one hour expensive Skype session with one after a friend of mine had had such amazing results.

Instead, however, I went with this course. Christie after all is also a professional intuitive and energy healer. I might not get her one to one, but I now have over 24 hours of audio sessions and workbooks.

I don’t believe in predetermined fate as I think we’re all creators of our own destinies, but I certainly take note of synchronicities in my life. In the space of a week, Christie Marie Sheldon was the third professional intuitive I’d heard about, which is partly why I decided to go with her course.

Unlimited Abundance: initial thoughts

If I’m totally honest, for the first few days of doing this course I felt a bit vulnerable, but maybe that’s not such a bad thing. I know since I finished working 9-5, every now and again I get this underlying unstable feeling.

Session one of 24 was about clearing resistance and after listening to this three times (which was recommended), I felt a lot of ‘stuff’ come to the surface, which could explain my feelings at the start. However, I now feel much lighter and I’m pleased to say I feel pretty good and excited to continue.

The first audio session basically focuses on the lies surrounding money and abundance that we’ve learnt throughout our lives, as well as the patterns and habits that have been holding us back (these will be slightly different for all of us).

The last 22 minutes then take you into a really blissful meditative state. I struggled to stay fully awake the first few times I did this, but apparently that’s OK. If you’ve ever tried Yoga Nidra, you might find the experience similar as it takes you into an incredibly deep blissful state of relaxation.

It might sound a little fluffy, but the idea is that the exercise opens up your energetic fields and allows energy to flow powerfully and abundantly through you which is all part of the clearing process. Whether you believe in this or not, it’s still a deeply relaxing meditation.

Finally, it’s only been a few days, but I will mention that I spontaneously found £15 on the floor the other day in an art school I was at. This could just be a coincidence though as it was the day before I started the course. That’s never happened before so either way it was a nice surprise.

I did end up handing the money into reception though as I felt it wasn’t mine for the taking. However, discovering it certainly felt good and I thought it was a nice start to the course. Let’s see what will happen next.
