10 minute energising yoga flow in the snow video

Last month London saw snow and lots of it, so making the most of the opportunity, I took to the garden with my mat, and phone, and my boyfriend filmed me doing this 10 minute sequence inspired by the Wim Hof Method.

The focus is energising — especially accompanied with the ujjayi breath and it’s great for doing in the morning. The level is intermediate so the instructions are limited but hopefully you’ll be able to follow and won’t feel too cold watching! There are gentle backbends throughout this practice so go easy on yourself, and remember to never force.

I’ve been practising the Wim Hof Method for almost three years now and despite my ice baths and daily showers, this is the first time I’ve actually done a yoga sequence out in freezing temperatures, and it felt great!

I lived in northern Finland just on the Arctic Circle for five months over a decade ago now and swimming out in freezing lakes and rolling around half naked in the snow after saunas was a part of everyday life, so it felt so good to get back into the snow again.

Enjoy the cold!
